2014 was the first year for the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital Annual Toy Ride. This project was nearly a year in the planning and our activities officer, Jeff Cox, spent countless hours working on making this a successful project for our chapter, and most importantly, the kids at the hospital.
Our goal for the first year was to collect and deliver 500 toys to the kids so they would have gifts at Christmas while they are in the hospital. The chapter members took on this project with excitement and determination to make sure the inagural ride was a success. And a success it was!
Our goal of 500 toys was met and surpassed. We collected and delivered over 1,200 toys, and over a thousand dollars in cash and gift cards!
We were blessed with great partners throughout this project. Not only was Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital a great partner, but we were fortunate to link up with Hope Academy, Zurich North America, Orchard Software, and Andy Mohr Automotive. We thank all our partners for making this First Annual Toy Ride a great success. The children at the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital were so appreciative and loved the toys and even a surpirse visit from Santa! We look forward to 2015 being even bigger and better!
